§ Mr. ILLINGWORTHCable communication between Lerwick and the mainland has been interrupted since the 8th instant. A cable ship is at present engaged on the repair of the cable, and it is hoped that the normal service will soon be restored. In the meantime a temporary wireless service has been established between Wick and Lerwick, and traffic for and from the Shetland Islands is being sent by this route.
