Commander LOCKER - LAMPSONasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture what advances to tenants under Section 18 of The Land Settlement (Facilities) Act, 1919, have been made by the Hunts County Council for the purchase of livestock, fruit trees, seeds, fertilisers, and implements; and how many tenants have applied for such advances and how many have been assisted, respectively?
Sir A. BOSCAWENNo advances have so far been guarnteed by the Hunts. County Council under Section 18 of the Land Settlement (Facilities) Act, Applications have been received from five tenants for advances amounting in all to £310, and these are being considered by the Council.
