§ Sir J. CRAIGThe scale of payment to members of local war pensions committees for loss of remunerative time incurred in attending committee meetings has been revised. Payment may now be made at a rate not exceeding 1s. 6d. an hour, subject to a maximum of 10s., in respect of any one day. A circular letter announcing the new rates was issued to committees on the 12th instant.
