§ Mr. DOYLE asked the First Lord of the Admiralty what progress has been made with the payment of prize money to the officers and men in the Royal Navy; how many have been paid; and what is the greatest and also the smallest amount paid to any individual?
§ Sir J. CRAIG: Payment has been authorised in nearly 100,000 cases. Under the scheme of distribution discussed in the House on 23rd July, 1918, and established by the Prize Proclamation of 10th February, 1919, the largest amount is that paid to the Commander-in-Chief, Grand Fleet, for 30 months' qualifying service— £2,500—while a minimum of £1 is provided for all who have qualifying service of at least one month.
