Refreshment Rooms Committee, whether, in view of the national necessity of finding employment for ex-soldiers, he can say when the waitresses employed by his committee will, so far as is possible, be replaced by waiters, preference being given to ex-soldiers who actually fought in the late War?

Member by the employment of ex-soldiers; and it is intended, as occasion offers, to increase the number. At the same time due consideration will have to be given to the claims of those now on the staff, who have for some years been rendering satisfactory and effective service.
