§ Mr. RAMSDENasked the President of the Board of Trade whether an arrangement to supply Germany with maize or other cereals in exchange for other commodities has been recently carried out by ourselves only, and so far Germany has not fulfilled the terms of her contract and possibly may not do so; and what steps he intends to take with her in future before parting with the goods?
§ Mr. McCURDYI have been asked to reply. No maize has been supplied or promised to Germany by Great Britain. In this connection I may refer the hon. and gallant Member to the answers given to-day to the hon. Member for Canterbury (Mr. R. McNeill).
