§ Mr. SEXTONasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the fact that the Committee to consider the prevention of blindness is not to be composed entirely of experts, he will arrange for a representative of the National League of the Blind to serve on the Committee, in view of the knowledge as to working-class conditions such representative could bring to the deliberations of the Committee?
§ Dr. ADDISONI am anxious not to increase the number of this Committee unnecessarily. Its deliberations will extend to various kinds of industrial occupations, and it will no doubt seek the assistance of those competent to speak as regards the conditions obtaining in these occupations, so far as they come within the scope of the inquiry, and I have already decided to ask a representative of the Trade Unions to serve on the Committee.
