Lieut.-Colonel BELLasked the Secretary of State for War if he is aware that in September of last year a motor lorry belonging to the 348th Company, Royal Army Service Corps (Mechanical Trans port) ran down a Mr. Walter House, inflicting serious injuries on him and smashing his trap and killing his horse; that the driver of the lorry was subsequently convicted by a civil court at Salisbury for negligence; and that, in spite of repeated applications Mr. House has received no compensation; and if he will cause inquiries to be made into the delay in settling this matter?
