§ Mr. BRIDGEMANPriority has been granted in the past to these two countries; but arrangements have now been made, in lieu of the priority system, to specify the monthly quantities of coal available for export from the United Kingdom to France and Italy. The quantities of coal exported during the months of March, April, and May were 1,184,031, 953,809, and 978,769 tons to France, and 204,290, 232,073, and 289,160 tons to Italy, respectively.
