§ Mr. BONAR LAWFrom the information available, it appears that the total amount of revenue collected in Mesopotamia from the date of the occupation till the end of the financial year 1919–20 approximated very roughly to £7,000,000, taking the rupee as equivalent to 1s. 4d. Of this sum, an mount approximating roughly to £6,000,000 went to meet the ordinary expenses of administering the country.
