HC Deb 07 July 1920 vol 131 c1477W
Major GLYN

asked the Secretary for Scotland how many local authorities have submitted schemes; how much money has so far been raised by housing bonds; and what is the estimated present total cost of the housing schemes submitted and of those approved, separately?

Mr. C. D. MURRAY

253 local authorities have submitted schemes, providing for the erection of 114,590 houses. Up to 30th June £249,120 had been raised by housing bonds. No reliable estimate can be framed of the cost of schemes submitted, but the cost of the 9,373 houses for which tenders have been approved is at present estimated at £9;373,000.
