§ Major BARNES asked the Minister of Transport the total number of officials on each railway company in receipt of a salary of £1,000 per annum and over, and the salary of each chairman and the directors of each railway company?
§ Mr. NEAL: I have no up-to-date figures as to the numbers of officials in receipt of £1,000 per annum and over 1262W employed by the railway companies. The total number of chairmen and directors is approximately 1,300, and their remuneration amounted to about £200,000 in 1919.
