§ Mr. MYERSasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Munitions, whether he has made inquiries into the allegation that much of the munitions in the dumps in France recently sold to contractors, ostensibly to be broken up, is not being broken up, but is being sent away in various directions, some of it through Germany?
Mr. HOPEThe answer is in the affirmative. I have received no confirmation of the allegation made by the hon. Member, and would point out that, 1051W as the Ministry has not given permission for the export of munitions, such action on the part of the contractor would be in violation of the express terms of the contract agreement.
