§ Sir H. GREENWOODThe Galway to Aran steamer service was started about the year 1890 by the Irish Government. The Congested Districts Board took over the service in 1892. The requirements of residents in the Aran Islands are supplied as far as practicable, and the service is not unsatisfactory in all the circumstances.
