§ Mr. NEALI would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the answer given on 21st June to the hon. Member for Acton (Sir H. Brittain), of which I am sending him a copy. Beyond the general powers 689W indicated in that answer, no Government Department has at present any means of restricting the size and weight of vehicles making use of public highways of a narrow and winding character.
