Mr. F. GREENasked the Minister of Health what is the average price per acre of land acquired for housing purposes; and whether any land has been given free of charge for housing purposes?
§ Dr. ADDISONThe average cost per acre of land included in housing schemes in regard to which both the site and price had been approved by my Department was, up to the 21st January, the latest date for which figures are available, £185. A large number of free gifts of land for housing purposes have been made and I propose to circulate a list of the donors.
