Friend refers are dealt with under the usual regulations relating to loss of kit and equipment which provide for compensation (or free issues) as and when the articles are required for further service (including necessary replacements 727W during captivity). I have no reason to suppose that claims for loss of kit by officers who were in Kut at the time of its capitulation have been otherwise dealt with.
