§ Dr ADDISONHouses with dadoes framed up in timber will not be excluded from subsidy on condition that proper provision is made to allow for shrinkage of the wood. Matchboarding is, however, unsatisfactory on sanitary grounds, as, with the shrinkage of the timber, the joints open and form breeding places for vermin.
