Captain COOTEasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Munitions whether the terms of reference to 2461W the Royal Commission on Awards to Inventors has recently been altered; whether this alteration involves the limitation of the grants made; and, if so, whether such limitation will apply to claims for a larger amount submitted before alteration of the terms of reference?
§ Mr. BALDWINThe only alteration which has been made in the terms of reference to the Royal Commission is that by a further Royal Warrant, dated the 5th day of October, 1920, further powers have been conferred upon it in order to enable it to deal with questions which may arise under the Patents and Designs Act, 1919. This does not involve any alteration of the amounts which the Commission has power to award or to recommend to the Treasury as the case may be.
