§ Dr. MACNAMARAThe number of persons in the tinplate trade who were claiming Out-of-Work Donation or Unemployment Benefit at 26th November was 797. I am informed that notices to terminate contracts have been given to about 12,000 to 14,000 tinplate workers in South Wales and Monmouthshire, but this is a precautionary measure and does not necessarily imply that these workpeople will be actually unemployed at the expiration of these notices.
