§ Mr. BROMFIELDasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the discontinuance of sanatorium benefit from the scope of the National Insurance Acts at the end of the current calendar year, he is prepared to provide for the compulsory transfer to the new authority of the members of the staffs of insurance committees engaged on sanatorium work, or to provide adequate compensation for all officers displaced by reason of administrative changes, on the same lines as for other public servants whose duties are abolished by Statute?
§ Dr. ADDISONThe discontinuance of sanatorium benefit is being postponed until the 30th April. I am not at present satisfied that there is any case for action on the lines suggested in the question, but I will examine carefully any representations which may be made on the subject in the light of all the relevant circumstances.
