§ Sir A. WILLIAMSONThe only fighting in Persia which has engaged the British Force has been patrol encounters with the Russo-Persian Bolshevists based on Enzeli. As regards the retention of this force in Persia, I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given by my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs on 19th October last in answer to a questioin by the hon. Member for Central Hull (Lieut.-Commander Kenworthy) and to the more recent statement made in another place on the 16th November by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
