Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe average daily expenditure on the basis of Exchequer Issues, from 1st April, 1920, to 27th November, was £2,896,203, as compared with an original Budget Estimate at the rate of £3,244,000 a day. But expenditure does not in fact go out at an equal rate throughout the year, and is usually heavier in the second half year.
