§ Mr. C. WHITEasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he has any information as to an agreement reached between the German commissary for imports and exports and representatives of the German iron and steel industries for preventing dumping by the adoption of minimum export prices; and, if so, what are the principal heads of the agreement?
§ Sir P. LLOYD-GREAMEThe practice of fixing higher prices for exports than those ruling for home consumption has for some time prevailed very generally in Germany. I have seen a statement in the Press that an arrangement has recently been come to as to the prices to be charged for exported iron and steel, and I have taken steps to obtain particulars of the arrangement. I will have information published on the subject, when it is available.
