HC Deb 28 April 1920 vol 128 c1251W
Mr. A. SHORT

asked the Minister of Labour whether the International Labour Bureau is sending to Russia a labour delegation; whether a British representative forms one of the delegation; and, if not, whether he will state the reason?

Dr. MACNAMARA

The International Labour Office, after consultation with the Council of the League of Nations, has decided to send a commission to Russia to inquire into the industrial conditions there. The commission is to consist of representatives of employers and workmen and official representatives. Great Britain has been asked to nominate a representative on the commission, and it is proposed to do so.
