MACLEANasked the Prime Minister whether full and frank information as to the scale of their armaments and their military, naval, and air programmes has been interchanged between the members of the League of Nations, in accordance with Article 8 of the Covenant; and, if this Article is in force, why 1051W the British Admiralty has not been informed of the constructional programme of the other members of the League?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWThe best method of giving effect to Article 8 of the Covenant will be dealt with by a Permanent Commission, the constitution of which is down for consideration by the Council of the League next month at Rome.
