Captain TERRELLasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture if he is aware of the resentment among farmers at the delay in the introduction of the Agricultural Bill; and whether, to allay this feeling, he is able to state exactly what are the reasons which are causing the postponement of the measure and when he expects these obstacles will be surmounted?
Sir A. BOSCAWENI am aware that the agricultural industry is anxiously awaiting the introduction of the Agritural Bill and the Ministry has received a number of resolutions on the subject from local branches of the National Farmers' Union and other bodies. I hope, however, to be in a position to introduce it at an early date. The reasons for the delay are the necessary reconsideration of certain aspects of some of the Clauses of a somewhat complicated and technical Bill.
