Sir F. HALLasked the Minister of Food whether a uniform allowance of two pounds of sugar per head is to be granted for the purpose of making jam irrespective of the quantity of fruit that may be grown; and, if this is so, will he at once take steps to cancel such instructions in order that growers of fruit may be given a reasonable allowance of sugar so that they may utilise such fruit and save it from going to waste?
