asked the Attorney-General for Ireland if his attention has been called to the difficulties under which sub-sheriffs in Ireland carry out the duties of their office and to the uncertainty of the tenure of their office; and whether the Government intend to promote a Bill dealing with the matter?

The Irish Government are fully aware of the difficulties under which sub-sheriffs in Ireland carry out the duties of their office. The Irish Government hope to introduce a Bill dealing with the question.
