HC Deb 26 November 1919 vol 121 c1837W
SIR H. COWAN

asked the Secretary for Scotland whether his attention has been called to a Resolution passed by the Scottish Pedigree Cattle Breeders' Committee representing that the time has arrived when the administration of the Contagious Diseases of Animals Acts in Scotland should be transferred to the Board of Agriculture for Scotland; and what steps he proposes to take in the matter?

Mr. MUNRO

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. I am in communication with the Board of Agriculture and Fisheries in the matter, but my hon. Friend will appreciate that legislation would be required to effect the suggested transfer.
