HC Deb 25 November 1919 vol 121 c1650W
MAJOR GREAME

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Munitions what is the size of the staff now maintained in the London area for the inspection of motor vehicles and spare parts made to Government order; and what was the corresponding staff at the date of the Armistice?

Mr. KELLAWAY

A staff of eighteen is now maintained in the London area for the inspection of motor vehicles and spare parts; at the time of the Armistice the number was seventy-two. Both these figures include the clerical staff. The London area for this purpose covers the whole of the South of England, and the East up to, and including, Lincoln.
