HC Deb 25 November 1919 vol 121 c1648W
CAPTAIN BROWN

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Munitions what facilities are given by the Disposal Board to discharged Service men for purchasing motor lorries; and if they receive exactly the same facilities as local authorities?

Mr. KELLAWAY

As I have stated on previous occasions, the Disposal Board are unable to offer preferential terms to any one in the purchase of surplus Government property. Arrangements have, however, been made for the sale of motor vehicle by the Board to the War motors Association, an organisation which is acting in the interests of ex-Service men, whereby facilities are afforded to these men which it would be impracticable for the Board to give direct. The answer to the second part of the question is in the affirmative.
