HC Deb 25 November 1919 vol 121 c1658W
Major HENNESSY

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether the policy of the Board as regards the disposal of hay and straw purchased but not yet removed from farms is still that of leaving this produce where it is until it can be sold with out loss; and whether, in view of the utter impossibility of fulfilling this desire, the Board will reconsider their decision, cut their loss, and thus remove a cause of dissatisfaction to the farming community?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

The Board of Trade are not responsible for the disposal of hay and straw of the 1918 crop, to which I think that the hon. Member must be referring.
