asked the Home Secretary whether any offers are being or have been made by the Chief Commissioner of Police to the late members of the Metropolitan Police Force to undertake the work of other trade unionists who are on strike; if so, whether such offers have been made or are being made on his suggestion or with his approval; and what steps he proposes to take in the matter?
