HC Deb 18 November 1919 vol 121 cc402-3W
Mr. A. SHAW

asked the Minister of Transport whether any part of the total remuneration of which Sir Francis Dunnell is in receipt is defrayed by the North-Eastern Railway Company; and whether he is at present a whole-time officer of the Ministry of Transport?

Sir R. WILLIAMS

As I informed the hon. Member on 6th November, the salary Sir Francis Dunnell received from the. North-Eastern Railway Company will be charged against the Ministry of Transport Vote. In addition, Sir Francis received a small annual fee from the South Yorkshire Joint Line Committee, as solicitor to that Committee, which I am informed will be similarly charged. The answer to the second part of the hon. Member's question is in the affirmative.
