§ Mr. RAPERasked the Prime Minister if he is aware of the demand throughout the country that mothers' pensions should be paid to necessitous widows with children; and whether, in view of the general support which this question received in this House on the 8th April last, it is proposed to take steps to introduce legislation to this effect?
§ Dr. ADDISONI have been asked to answer this question. The subject to which the hon. Member refers is being considered in connection with other proposals for changes in the present system of Public Assistance, but I am not yet in a position to make any statement upon it.
