HC Deb 11 November 1919 vol 121 c254W
MR. WATERSON

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office how it is that acting paymasters in the Army Pay Department who served as civilians at Home have on demobilisation received gratuities, whereas acting paymasters, with commissioned rank, with expeditionary forces, and many of them demobilised over six months, have not received any gratuity whatever?

Mr. FORSTER

I think my hon. Friend is misinformed. No acting paymaster, civilian or commissioned, has so far received a gratuity.
