§ Sir C. KINLOCH-COOKEasked the-Minister of Health whether he is aware that the Isle of Wight County Council have twice asked to be furnished with a copy of the Report made to his Department by one of their medical inspectors concerning the outbreak of small-pox at Cowes; why the request has twice been refused; why this course has been taken; and, seeing that the council consider the matter one of great importance and desire to be supplied with the fullest information in order that any necessary steps may be taken to prevent a similar outbreak in future, will he direct that a copy of the Report be supplied to them?
§ Dr. ADDISONI am informed that the Report made by the medical inspector of the Ministry after his visit to the Isle of Wight regarding the outbreak of smallpox was a confidential document intended solely for the information of the Ministry, and I see no sufficient reason in the present case to warrant a departure from the establised practice in the case of such Reports.
