§ Mr. NEALasked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the serious inconvenience and loss caused to the public by the continuance in force of the Gas and Coal (Emergency) Order, 1919, forbidding the production of gas of a higher quality than 15 per cent= below the prescribed quality; whether he is aware that manufacturers using gas for the treatment of metals have been compelled to cease such user by reason of such order; and whether it is now possible to cancel the said Order as the emergency, namely, the railway strike, has passed?
