HC Deb 04 November 1919 vol 120 c1335W
Lieut.-Colonel Sir S. HOARE

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether military masseuses have been refused a war gratuity although it has been granted to all other hospital workers, and by the Red Cross to their masseuses; and whether, in view of the work done by these masseuses for the wounded, he will see fit to reconsider his decision?

Mr. FORSTER

As I stated to-day in reply to oral questions, I am looking into this matter, and I have not yet come to a decision.

Mr. WATERSON

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if he can state the amount of gratuity paid to field cashiers, Army Pay Department, Expeditionary Forces?

Mr. FORSTER

I regret that I am not yet in a position to make any statement with regard to the gratuity referred to, but I hope to be able to do so shortly.
