§ Major WARINGasked the Under-Secretary of State to the Air Ministry, whether it is the intention to recommence flying training in Egypt; and, if not, what reduction it is proposed to make in the administrative staffs and units in that country, in view of the fact that only five active flying squadrons are now employed in that command?
§ Major-General SEELYIt is hoped to recommence flying training in Egypt, but a final decision cannot be taken until the strength and constitution of the after-war Air Force is settled. The administrative staff was reduced early this year to what is considered necessary to deal with the units under the command of the Air Officer Commanding, Middle East, of which command Egypt forms a part.
