HC Deb 28 May 1919 vol 116 c1264W
Captain DOUGLAS HALL

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture if he can see his way to make representations to the Liquor Control Board to extend the hours in the evening at which public-houses must close in view of the fact that production of food is so important that in the towns and villages allotment-holders and cottagers are working on their allotments and their gardens very late in the evening and have difficulty after they have knocked off work in reaching a public-house in time to get a glass of beer?

Sir A. BOSCAWEN

No, Sir. The Board do not propose to make any such representations as am suggested in the question of my hon. and gallant Friend.
