§ Mr. CAUTLEYasked the President of the Local Government Board whether he is aware of the great hardship caused to persons in receipt of disablement benefit by the diminution in the purchasing power of money; and whether he will consider the possibility of an early increase of disablement benefit as well as of the old age pension?
§ Major ASTORI have received many representations to the effect suggested in the question of the hon. Member; but so far as concerns the benefits under the National Health Insurance Acts these representations are not confined to disablement benefit, and the whole question of a revision of the contributions and benefits under those Acts is engaging the attention of my advisers in close consultation with the representatives of insured persons.
