§ Colonel WEDGWOODasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware 1049W that Sydney Crisfield, No. 494510, 2/13th London Regiment, joined the Royal Army Medical Corps voluntarily in 1915, and after three years' useful service was transferred, against his will, to a combatant unit, although he made it quite clear that he could not conscientiously undertake combatant work; whether he is also aware that this man has already served nearly twelve months' hard labour; and whether it is intended to reward his voluntary service by keeping him in prison for another year?
