I understand that the Board of Agriculture propose to re-issue the Tuberculosis Order of 1914 as soon as the Milk and Dairies Act comes into operation. The draft Regulations necessary under this Act are now under consideration. Means are provided under the Public Health Act for enabling local authorities to prevent the sale of tuberculous meat With regard to the last part of the question, there is no definite information as to the number of cows suffering from tuberculosis in the United Kingdom. Some herds are known to be free from tuberculous cows.
