§ Dr. ADDISONThe total of these classes in England and Wales on 28th December, 1918, was 30,475. I regret that it is not possible to give the detailed figures asked for by the hon. Member for any date later than the 1st January, 1915, the usual 1055W detailed Returns having been suspended during the War. On the latter dates the corresponding total figure in England and Wales was 33,557, sub-divided as follows:
In addition, there were 4,621 children in "other homes and institutions for children," including 279 on the training ship "Exmouth."
