§ Sir A. GEDDESThe importance of the Alsace potash deposits is fully recognised by His Majesty's Government. It is necessary, however, to take into account developments in respect of potash production in the United Kingdom, and potash salts have recently been placed on the list of imports prohibited except under licence, but that course was taken only after consultation with the French Government.
