§ Mr. WASONasked the Minister for Labour whether his attention has been directed to the fact that an Orkney gentleman joined up on the 11th August, 1914, and received his commission in the Royal Garrison Artillery on the 1st October, 941W 1914; that on the 27th January last, acting on the advice of the Military Advisory Board in France, he applied for a grant to enable him to complete his studies, and at the same time was assured by the commanding officer that he need not fear being demobilised before the grant was assured; and that in the middle of February he was demobilised, and has since been unable to get any information with regard to his position; and if he will make inquiry into the matter?
