Mr. ALFRED DAVIES(Clitheroe) asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether he can state the scale of gratuity paid to men who have served in the Colonial forces as compared with the scale paid to men who have been in the Home forces?
§ Mr. FORSTERAs the conditions vary for the different forces and do not lend themselves to inclusion in a brief statement, I am taking steps to have the hon. Member supplied with copies of the several Regulations. I would point out that the war gratuity is only one of the benefits drawn by the British soldier on discharge.
