Captain GUESTThe promotion of officers on the Reserve of Officers is car-624W ried out in accordance with the provisions of Army Council Instruction No. 1,252, of which I will send my hon. and gallant Friend a copy. Provided that the officer is recommended, promotion is automatic. An officer is promoted when the Regular officer with whom he is linked is promoted, and not in consequence of the submission of any claim for promotion.
